My cat does the same thing. He also loves the DVD door opening. He'll be in the basement and as soon as you open the DVD he's there waiting to catch it. He'll sit there through a whole movie waiting for it to open. Must be too much catnip.
Wow, I thought my 2 cats were unusual in their obsession with the printer. Mine just jump on top and watch as the paper comes out (not nearly as aggressive as the Calico, LOL).
This is soooo cute & typical. My cat always comes running when he hears the printer running. He jumps on top of it and he weighs 20 lbs, so I don't like it much.
:) What a wonderful study on cats! I had a calico who taught 2 kittens the same behavior. It shows how it takes an observant, alert human to truly appreciate these complex, often underestimated beings.

My cat, also a calico, stands on top of the printer and bats at the paper as it comes out the feed. Must be something about calicoes. LOL!
